I'll never forget the first and only visit we were able to make to the Janesville house of Dennis and Susan, a few years ago. What a TREAT!
Hours spent preparing a dinner feast with Jan, Susan, Dennis, Mary and her son Rollin, as we went back and forth from indoors to outdoors, cooking steaks outside, and trying to make the elusive "Fried Green Tomatoes" inside. I have a whole roll of pictures to commemorate this. And the two days we spent there including a sleepover in this great house/studio, with Susan as one of the most amazingly verbal people( I've MET MY MATCH, I thought!) I've ever had the pleasure of talking with, will always be with me. What a shame it was the ONLY time we got to visit these great and talented people we'd known so many years before in Chicago. I am going to sign off now, because I'm getting emotional, but let me say in a way that words will never be adequate for: "DENNIS, we will miss you!!!!Know that everyone who was in your life was greatly affected by all those qualities that made you such a great human being!"
